Lake Pochard Fishing Lodges offers the chance to catch fish for beginners and experienced carp anglers. The green lane at the fishery is only for lodge guests.

You don’t need to book a swim in advance. The total area of this venue is about 11.5 acres. There are Carp in the pond that weighs over 40 lbs. They only allow eight anglers to fish there.

This site has a Match Lake just for fishing. It has been around for ten years and is ideal for pleasure and competitive fishing.

The lake is about 4.5 acres with three lanes and 55 pegs. Hedge planting divides the pegs into pairs, each peg facing an island.

It feels like having your lake, even on busy days. Please check which pegs are available. Over the years, the fish stocks have increased.

Most of the fish are Carp weighing between 8 and 14 pounds. You can also find lots of Tench that weigh more than 7 pounds.

There are Bream that weigh more than 8 pounds too. Plus, you can see beautiful Roach and Rudd that weigh up to 1.5 pounds. Additionally, Perch is always present.

When the Carp are less active, the silverfish become visible in winter. The anglers caught Roach and Skimmers weighing 30-40 lbs in the winter.

Please organize all matches in advance through the office. The gate will open at an agreed time. Make sure you know and follow the fishing rules for Walters Lake.

When you check out, please leave your swim area by 10 am. Fishing is not allowed in front of the lodges. Pochard has Scandinavian timber lodges with 2 or 3 bedrooms and verandas.

It’s perfect for a family holiday or a friend group’s break. This lodge has three bedrooms and an extra bathroom. It is well-furnished and wheelchair accessible.

The lounge, kitchen, and dining area are open-plan. The site has everything you need. It has a TV, internet, appliances, BBQ, linens, towels, electricity, and heating.

The Cotswold Water Park has many footpaths, cycle tracks, and canal towpaths nearby. You can enjoy several circular walks in the Cotswold Water Park.

The walks range from 2 km to 18 km. And some are even longer! The routes have signs and are well-maintained. Maps are at The Gateway Centre’s information area.
